My job used to be my identity.

That is not who God says I am.

Who am I in God’s eyes? What are my priorities? Who are my priorities? What do I love doing?

* I love the Lord, my family, church, the ECHO group, our church family, wildlife, the outdoors and nature and working on computers…
* Gardening and landscape, animals, teaching, designing, creating something beautiful, visiting new parts of the state, learning new things..

I woke up this morning thinking about the job I just left.
So many mixed emotions and thoughts tied into it.
Fear, excitement, a new challenge, who am I now? what should I do? will I succeed? what is success?

Regardless of whether you left a job willingly, were laid off, or retired…these are things that go through many people’s minds.

It’s how you deal with these things that can determine if you succeed or otherwise…
I have determined to use these as a challenge to greater things! My focus is on the Lord.

One of my favorite scripture verses is Isaiah 40:31.

It says, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
He will sustain me. How encouraging!
