About Stark Mill Farm
Stark Mill Farm is a small family farm that specializes in breeding Nigerian Dwarf Goats. We are located in historical Dunbarton, NH near the site of the original Stark Mill that was founded by General John Stark (a NH native who was a major general in the Continental army during the American Revolutionary War). In the mid 1700’s John Stark was granted 100 acres of land to build a saw mill. This saw mill remained open until 1890. The presence of the Stark Mill led to the construction of framed houses, followed by the laying out of highways two years later.
Dunbarton was a thriving agricultural town from 1752 to 1862, producing dairy products, wool, hops, wheat, flax, vegetables and lumber. This is a beautiful area with many diverse habitats. In addition to our always entertaining population of goats, we also have a guard lama, three dogs, several roosters and a wide variety of birds and wildlife, perennial gardens, woodlands and streams. We would love to have you visit, but request that you contact us or call 603-774-5683 to set up a time to visit, as we are open by appointment only. We’ll be more than happy to tell you why we love these little goats so much!
